Results from research
Researchers are using mice to find treatments for Alzheimer's disease. They have recently discovered that flickering lights causes brain waves that clean a protein related to the disease out of the mice's brain. Amyloid-beta is the sticky protein that accumulates in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients and researchers have found a new method on mice. This method causes certain nerve cells to fire at a specific rhythm that generates brain waves believed to clear the A-beta.
